Though i got to say i really like the outcome... its a bit full and chaosy though its WAR!
I got very much inspired of Gary Tonge ( one of my fav artists :) ) for the buildings...
I tried alot new techniques.. for the clouds, water, grass etc.
The water turned out pretty nicely.
Anyway.. i want to thank azrael
He helped me with the right side.

Its really good but it looks a little devoid of things. You have this lone building by itself up there, and theres no more additional buildings around it. There arent any enemy units that i can see and the artillery, althoug it looks cool with cool explosions, looks like its firing at ghosts.

Maybe a little more action could be added, or maybe next time?
:iconcoldflame1987:
hmmm what you mean? cant you see the 2 other buildings, and btw, if it was just one, doesnt matter, its a very hige building, and this is just a colony...
And about the enemies...
Cant you seee the hoverbikes speeding to the buildings? U_U
The mortars are bombarding them... plz look a lil bit closer :P

looking great m8.. just so much detail very very good

I have looked closely. I mean its not my fault if the whole scene dosent portray properly to me. In warzone in the future i expect like loads of troops and tanks and mechs and anti-infantry and anti-armor batterys and alll of that.

And yeah i see two spire type buildings. A more colonyish look would be more of a city wouldnt it?

I mean i have no right to intrude on your own personal views to such scenarios, having my own minds eye view of things. And im not trying to attack your work, of course its a good artistic peice. Im just trying to give you a little more ideas. Ideas that i couldnt execute myself, lol.

First thing is that I love the sheer epic-ness of this piece. The dozens and dozens of hoverbikes rushing in to meet the enemy, the jet flying back off the piece, the mortars firing giant shells and the ground being torn up. The river is absolutely beautiful. The mountains are lacking a bit in detail, which I don't like, but I love the motionish blurrish on everything else. Creates alot of atmosphere. The main building seems a touch out of place, doesn't seem to fit in for me in the barren environment. The sky and clouds are fantastic.

nah i guess you are right, atleast you crit...

this painting is simply amazing :wow:

big-scale future war is an interesting and rarely-covered subject of art. you covered it superbly! the painting has a large, busy feel to it, just like a real battlefield, and you can tell there's other stuff going on besides what you can just see by looking in the background. i like the positioning of the machinegunner on the hill in the foreground; gives it a whole lot more depth.

not much more i can say except :+fav:!
